Recently dined at the Glenside restaurant with my family and two other couples. We had never been there before, but it appeared like hip place from the outside. Unfortunately, both the food and service were terrible. For our party of nine people, the waitress didn't even try to move around the table to explain the specials, take our drink or food orders. Instead she stood at one end of the table and had us yell across the table to order. I had to flag her down just to order a beer. To make matters worse, the service was slow and it was a solid twenty minutes from finishing our appetizers that our entrees were served. Even though the service was atrocious, there was of course a 20% gratuity tacked on for our large party. Even worse than the service was the food which was either overcooked like the panko breaded chicken strips or over-salted to the point that the brussel sprouts were essentially inedible. Don't even consider ordering the onion soup which either came from a can or an off-the-shelf mix. It is too bad that the only thing this restaurant has going for it is the decor and vibe. This does not compensate for the abysmal food and service. I'd recommend not even considering dining or drinking here as there are other much better options in the vicinity. Save your money.
Modern restaurant with great menu, awesome sandwiches, salads, burgers and entrees. Casual atmosphere, good family place with ample parking and attentive table service. I'll be going back, soon.
Seriously disappointed. Nice decor and vibe, aside from having to pass around our own place settings, which is weird. But the food failed to live up to the promise of the menu. Our fries tasted like they'd been fried, left to sit for a while, then tossed in fryer oil to heat them up. So they tasted old and dead in spite of being hot. The ahi was definitely not fresh, and $13 for four thin slices of fish is too much. I could go on about the other dishes we ordered, but I think I've made my point: high priced, low quality food. We came here with people who had been before and really enjoyed it, so apparently things have gone downhill. On the plus side, our server was wonderful.
Superb place to eat and hangout. The decor was beautiful. The food very delicious. The service was fantastic. Highly recommend to all!!
Food was fast and on point. Service was also very good. We sat outside (first nice day in a while). With that being said there were only a handful of tables but as a past restaurant manager that can usually make things worse and they weren't. So thank you for great food and service! Also, our son LOVED the coloring Matt he was given and his chicken fingers and fries. We ordered his as soon as we sat with our drinks and the kitchen understood it was a kids meal and got them to us FAST!
