Fine food in elegant surroundings. An unexpected find in Glenside. Menu is not extensive but is varied and there were several options that appealed to all in our party. The 1950s supper club feel is complimented by visiting Cabernet artists. We had a lot of fun and were delighted to meet the charismatic owner Michael who made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend for an entertaining evening with a quality live acts.
My husband and I attended a show last night - WOW! We loved the intimacy of the venue, the decor, the ambiance and of course, the FOOD. To top it all off, the customer service was superb. If you're a seafood lover, order the steamed mussels. I can see us becoming regulars here, Dino's is an absolute gem!
It's like they bottled the Chrysler Building and poured in two shots of the Great Gatsby. More than a hole in the wall; classy, sassy, and jazzy! This restaurant would make the perfect "gift card" or anniversary present. You should also try to see a show, the showroom is cozy and you'll meet face to face with the performers. When you get seated in the showroom, it is like being on a cruise ship. You might be elbow to elbow with someone famous. There is comfy outside patio furniture near the front. You enter through a stylish bar. To the left is a modest sized dining room and to the right is the wee "cozumfy" showroom. Prices are upscale, but not astronomicalbut the food is worth its weight in gold. It's also the first time I've seen the light up menus. Really helpful! I'd call ahead about parking, if the theater next door has a big act, it may be a challenge. But within the town-area, there are meters that are cheap and it's free after a certain hour. Oh yeah, cozy and comfy mixed together makes "cozumfy."
I visited Dino's Backstage in Glenside. Stood at the hostess desk for a while before approached. While waiting for seats, another group walks up. Bartender yells from behind the bar, to this group, "How many in your party?" Totally ignores us...I guess we're invisible!!! Finally get seated. Wait for a waiter...and wait...and wait. Wanda Sykes walks in. Yes, Wanda Sykes the comedian. She's seated and gas a drink before I even have water. I guess that's what I get for not going to see her show at the Keswick Theater. Leave Dino's and go across the street to the Keswick Tavern. Waitress Grace immediately comes over. Water & drinks in 5 minutes. Food in 15!!!! Shame on you Dino's!!!
Absolutely the best experience! The food was phenomenal, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was everything you'd want It to be. The entertainment was the wonderful Marilyn Maye who still OWNS the stage! Old school glam, Broadway, cabaret awesomeness with the most lovely owners who are just the icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back!!
