This was the first time I used this Pep Boys Service Center. Needed my battery replaced and like so many newer cars the placement of the battery was a pain in the butt to get too. I set-up my appointment online and was quoted a price. I dropped it off, came back at a set time and the job was done. Both Aaron, the counterperson, and the mechanic were very friendly. What more could you ask for, an accurate quote and a job well done by friendly people.
Aaron and his mechanic that was on duty ROCK! I brought my car rental in for a routine fluid and oil check. Aaron was about to close shop, told me he couldn't do the oil change until tomorrow. His mechanic on duty checked the vehicle and discovered the oil tank was on empty and the filter was leaking oil. I asked Aaron if he could make an exception for me because was gonna drive like 250 miles the next day and I did have any real time to come back. They made sure I was straight and the vehicle was safe for me to drive on last minute notice. NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THX FELLAS. I APPRECIATE YOU.!
*EDIT* I sent a message to the email from the reply below and explained what I wrote in this review. It has been two weeks and I have not received a response. So maybe they're just pretending to care about the 1-star ratings. My original review as follows:I took in my car because there was a nail in the tire and I thought it would be a quick and easy fix due to it being an odd time of day when I discovered the problem. Firstly, they took nearly an hour and a half, and with only one other person in the waiting room. I saw through the window that they removed the whole tire to repair it, and thought it a little strange since my usual mechanic just finds the nail and plugs it in minutes. The cost was twice the amount I'm charged for a nail in the tire with my usual mechanic (still not much, but I thought it was reasonable since they did all that extra work in taking the whole stinking tire off.) A few days later we needed to relocate and drive 3 hours on highway, which was a bad time to discover that the car was getting shaky at 60mph. It never did that before I took it to PepBoys. I took it to a different mechanic who told us they did a horrible job at balancing them when they put the tire back on. The fix was very inexpensive, but it's really frustrating to know that a big chain auto repair shop hires people who don't know how to put a tire on a car.
I had car work done here. Replaced all four of my tires, fixed my front brakes. Every employee there was friendly. The employees here have good people skills. They are nice people. They treat you very well, beginning with the guy who checked in my car and explained my options (I believe his name was Mike.) The work on my car was fast. I have a cousin who is good with cars and he looked at my car and said the work was done well.
Fantastic place! I won't take my car anywhere else. They are honest, which is tough to find, in my experience, with other mechanics. They are informative and their waiting room and bathrooms are super clean!
